How “The Big 3” can ensure your best vacation this summer.

Ever find yourself scrambling the week before vacation?

Trying to tie up loose ends, juggling last-minute tasks, and feeling stressed instead of excited?

Me too.

A few years ago, I was on a beach, phone in hand, trying to talk to a client. The reception was terrible, seagulls were squawking, and I was anything but relaxed.

Then I stumbled on a suggestion by Ryan Deiss that changed how I work: the Big 3 To-Do List.

And it takes all of 5-10 minutes a day.

Every week, I create a list of my 3 most critical tasks. These are my nonnegotiables. Then, I break it down, picking 3 tasks that move me toward completing those weekly objectives.

Instead of getting lost in the distraction of daily demands, I stay aligned with my key goals—through focus.

Why should you save these 5-10 minutes out of your day?

  1. Less scrambling: Clear priorities that I’m consistently chipping away at them.
  2. Benefitting from a true vacation: My vacation is for recharging, not for catching up on tasks I didn’t complete.
  3. Work on the business, not in it: Helps keep me focused on strategic tasks that drive growth, rather than getting bogged down in daily operations.

Today’s Step Forward.

Start today by picking your Big 3: the three most critical tasks for the week and break them down into daily bite-sized things to move you closer to your goals. Watch how it transforms your productivity–and peace of mind.

Your future self, sipping a piña colada 🍹 on the beach without a care in the world, will thank you.
