A 7-Day Challenge I Took 15 Years to Realize

Navigating change can be overwhelming, whether you’re refining your business strategy, scaling operations, or finding the right marketing approach.

Overthinking can put you in decision gridlock.

To a perfection-seeker like me, this is a daily challenge.

Maybe for you too.

But as Voltaire wrote, “the best is the enemy of the good.” In other words, done is better than perfect.

And these 3 reasons are why you should keep your eye on the prize.

  • Failure Fuels Growth: Failure isn’t a setback–it’s a stepping stone to learn and persevere. Use the lessons to propel yourself forward.
  • Just be Efficient: As Leonardo da Vinci said, “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” Rather than drowning in details, focus on progress step by step. Stop overthinking.
  • Done Equals Less Stress and More Opportunities: “When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.” (Paulo Coelho). Completion holds its own magic. Now you get to see what happens next.

Today’s Step Forward.

Have a goal in mind, whether it’s revamping your website’s messaging, posting better social media content 4x a week, or refining our client onboarding process. Try to be specific so you know when it’s DONE.

Then for this next week, take one small, imperfect action each day toward your big goal. Spend 5 minutes reviewing website sections and brainstorming messaging ideas, creating engaging, on-brand social media content, or outline improvements for new client onboarding templates.

And don’t forget to celebrate the win, no matter how small–to keep momentum going. You’ll stay focused, motivated and avoid burnout.
